Notes Plus (iPad App; used with stylus; reading .pdf files; taking notes; graphs/arrows/images) 

Mac Preview (for reading, note-taking .pdf files)

Cam Scanner (scanning from your smart phone)

Sejda (for splitting PDFs) 

Keynote (customizing presentation slides)
